How the bench works
- You join the bench. With your written consent, we name you (with a short bio) as key personnel or consultant on proposals that match your expertise. Consent costs you nothing and commits you to nothing until an award funds.
- A contract is awarded. Federal SBIR awards fund the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins — at an hourly rate agreed before you were ever named.
- You work remote, part-time, paid from the contract. Consultant seats run roughly 40–80 hours across a 6–12 month effort. The Principal Engineer role runs roughly 10–15 hours per week per active award and grows as awards stack.
We state this structure plainly because honesty is how this firm operates. There is no payroll before award, and we never claim otherwise — to you or to the government.
