About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~160–800 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Plan and lead stakeholder sessions with rural providers, Medicaid managed care plans, state officials and community partners, and turn what you hear into clear findings
- Review our payment model designs, attribution logic, quality measures and financial benchmarks against how rural providers really operate
- Tell us where a value-based arrangement breaks on low patient volumes, thin margins, workforce gaps or real MCO contracting behavior
- Check claims about savings, quality and provider participation before they reach the Government
- Point us at the model, the evaluation or the authoritative data source we should be using
Required qualifications
- Direct experience designing, running or evaluating value-based payment models or ACOs that included rural providers
- Hands-on Medicaid managed care experience, whether at a state Medicaid agency, an MCO, or a provider organization contracting with MCOs
- A track record of leading stakeholder facilitation with providers, payers and public officials, and producing usable results from it
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Work on CMS Innovation Center or Medicare models such as ACO REACH, the Medicare Shared Savings Program, CHART, or the Pennsylvania Rural Health Model
- Experience with critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, FQHCs or a State Office of Rural Health
- Familiarity with global budgets, Medicaid capitation and rate setting, or risk adjustment
- HRSA Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, state Medicaid or rural health research center experience
