How this role works

1. You are named in the quote. Precision Federal names the people who will do the work, so the résumé you send is what the Government reads. Being named costs you nothing and commits you to nothing until the contract is awarded.
2. The contract is awarded. Start is on award, expected October 2026. Your engagement begins at the rate agreed in writing before you were ever named.
3. You work on site in Anchorage, paid from the contract. Full time for 12 months (about 1,940 hours over the year) at the MMA Alaska Facility, 3801 CenterPoint Drive, during Government business hours. If the award does not fund, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

• Develop and document workflows for managing master ("golden") and working interpretation projects in Kingdom, so authors branch from an authoritative project rather than a copy of a copy.
• Integrate authored interpretation data from existing application software projects into master projects; manage project authorship and version control.
• Write scripts, batch processes or software procedures to automate data integration, organization, restructuring and movement (ETL/ELT).
• Populate geoscience software projects from varied collection sources and instruments of differing quality and vintage.
• Troubleshoot Kingdom and Petrel projects to find problems with interpretations or data files.
• Integrate and interpret geophysical and geological data and interpolate interpretations into regional-level projects to create displays and maps.
• Contribute Kingdom Data Management (KDM) best practices and the monthly workflow documentation deliverable.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, geophysics, geography, physical science, earth science, or a related field, plus 20 additional semester hours in any combination of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological science, structural/chemical/civil/mining/petroleum engineering, computer science, planetary geology, comparative planetology, geophysics, meteorology, hydrology, oceanography, physical geography, marine geology, and cartography.
• Senior-level professional knowledge and experience using geoscience interpretation software including S&P Global Kingdom and SLB Petrel, along with GIS applications such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS, and SQL Server Management Studio, with a special emphasis on master interpretation workflow development.
• Understanding of best practices for developing interpretation products in master/golden projects, working geoscience project flows, managing project authorship, and batch processing and integration of derived and interpreted datasets into master, authoritative or golden projects.
• SQL and Python preferred.
• Able to work on site in Anchorage during Government business hours.
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident who has resided in the U.S. at least three years, and able to pass a DOI background investigation for facility and network access (§3.14). The Government pays for the investigation.
• Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

• Alaska OCS or North Slope data experience
• Kingdom Data Management (KDM) or Petrel project administration

Compensation & structure

$100 per hour (1099) or the equivalent W-2 salary, full time for 12 months from award, on site at 3801 CenterPoint Drive, Anchorage, AK 99503, agreed in writing before you are ever named in the quote.
