About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~1,000–2,080 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Lead a help center for owners of large buildings who report energy and water use each year through ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, across phone, voicemail, a shared inbox and digital ticketing
- Keep every ticket answered within 48 hours, including through the spring peak before the annual reporting deadline
- Train the help-center team and own the knowledgebase, call scripts and owner webinars
- Coordinate utility data uploads, escalate exemption and alternative-compliance questions, and report monthly metrics
Required qualifications
- Three or more years running or leading a help center for a building benchmarking, building performance standard or utility energy-efficiency program
- Three or more years in a help center serving 3,000 or more building owners, customers or accounts across phone, email and a ticketing system
- Deep, daily ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager experience, including property setup, meters, data requests, the data-quality checker and sharing
- Available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mountain Time, if the award is made
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Professional Engineer (PE) or ASHRAE High-Performance Building Design Professional (HBDP)
- Experience with a city or state benchmarking or building performance standard ordinance
- Utility data access programs and aggregated whole-building data uploads
- Ticketing and contact-center tools such as Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, Freshdesk or ServiceNow
