About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~160–800 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Lead the functional team: assign the work, review it, and keep analysts and testers focused on the program as it actually runs
- Review our requirements, workflows and data models against real case processing: intake, locate, establishment, enforcement and financial distribution
- Tell us where a design breaks on real cases, such as interstate orders, arrears and distribution rules, income withholding, or caseworker workarounds
- Check claims about certification, federal reporting and compliance before they reach the Government
- Point us at the regulation, policy guidance or data exchange we should be working from
Required qualifications
- Direct experience with child support program operations or child support systems in a functional, business analyst or management role
- Experience leading a functional or business team on a systems implementation, modernization or major enhancement
- Working knowledge of IV-D case processing and the federal rules behind it, including 45 CFR Parts 302 through 307
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- State or county IV-D agency experience, as staff or as a vendor
- Federal Parent Locator Service, National Directory of New Hires, CSENet, QUICK, or the federal 157 and 34 reports
- A statewide child support system modernization, conversion or federal certification effort
- PMP, CBAP or a comparable certification
