About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~200–1,200 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Work on site in Washington, DC as the first stop for users who hit a problem with the systems we support
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, accounts and connectivity at the desk, and escalate cleanly when it needs an engineer
- Run hands-on training sessions, short walkthroughs and refreshers so people can do their jobs without calling for help
- Write down what you see, including recurring issues, confusing screens and training gaps, so we can fix the cause and not just the symptom
Required qualifications
- Live in the Washington, DC area and be able to work on site regularly
- Hands-on experience providing onsite technical support to end users
- Experience delivering user training, in a classroom, one on one, or at the desk
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience supporting a large government or enterprise facility
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or a comparable support certification
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management
- Experience writing quick reference guides, job aids or short training materials
