About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Prepare, track and maintain IRB and IACUC submissions, amendments, continuing reviews and approvals across our research work
- Steer protocols through Department of Defense second-level human and animal research review and keep that documentation inspection-ready
- Make sure our animal studies are designed and reported to ARRIVE 2.0 and that our human subjects work meets the Common Rule and informed consent requirements
- Catch compliance gaps, reportable events and missing approvals early, and tell us plainly what has to happen before work can start or continue
- Keep the research team honest on what was approved, by whom and when, so nothing reaches the Government ahead of its paperwork
Required qualifications
- Direct experience managing IRB and/or IACUC submissions and compliance for funded research, as a compliance manager, protocol coordinator or regulatory lead
- Working knowledge of 45 CFR 46 (Common Rule), the PHS Policy and Animal Welfare Act regulations, and the ARRIVE 2.0 reporting guidelines
- Careful, organized record-keeping across many protocols, sites and deadlines at once
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- DoD human or animal research second-level review experience, such as ACURO or HRPO submissions
- Single IRB (sIRB) coordination, DSMB support, or GCP monitoring on multi-site clinical studies
- ClinicalTrials.gov registration and results reporting under FDAAA 801, or PHS inclusion enrollment reporting
- FDA-regulated research documentation (21 CFR 50, 56 or 312)
- CIP, CPIA, CCRP or comparable research compliance certification
