About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~80–400 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Map pretreatment program requirements, from industrial user permits to periodic compliance reports, into clear, testable system requirements
- Review our requirement maps and data models against how control authorities actually permit, sample, inspect and enforce
- Check our electronic reporting design against CROMERR, including signatures, identity proofing, copy of record and audit trail
- Tell us where an approach breaks on real industrial users, real POTW staff, or real state program review
Required qualifications
- Direct experience running, auditing or building systems for an industrial pretreatment program at a POTW, state or regional control authority
- Working knowledge of 40 CFR Part 403, categorical standards, local limits, and significant noncompliance determinations
- Hands-on familiarity with CROMERR (40 CFR Part 3) requirements for electronic signatures and records
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience preparing or reviewing a CROMERR application or system checklist
- Pretreatment coordinator, inspector or compliance manager background
- Experience with NPDES electronic reporting, DMRs, or a pretreatment data management system
- Background in business analysis or requirements writing for regulatory software
