How this role works
- You join the bench. Before we name you on a proposal that matches this role, we send you the role, the hours and the hourly rate for that bid, and you confirm it in writing. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins, at an hourly rate agreed before you were ever named.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~80–400 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Design, simulate and verify FPGA logic in VHDL, Verilog or high-level synthesis
- Implement signal-processing or ML inference on FPGA and SoC platforms
- Close timing and measure resource use and power on real hardware
- Document interfaces and test results for integration and review
Required qualifications
- Direct experience designing and verifying FPGA designs that ran on hardware
- Working knowledge of VHDL or Verilog and Xilinx/AMD or Intel toolchains
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- RFSoC, Zynq or Versal platforms
- High-level synthesis or FPGA ML inference
- Radiation-tolerant or defense hardware programs
