How this role works

You join the bench. You apply with your hourly rate, weekly hours and start time, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
You work remote, paid from the contract. ~40–80 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

Review space-domain technical approaches against real operations practice
Advise on satellite tasking, orbital analysis, and space-environment effects
Sanity-check ionospheric and space-weather modeling assumptions
Keep our language native to the space-operations community
Join occasional government calls and technical reviews for funded efforts

Required qualifications

12+ years in space operations, satellite systems, orbital analysis, or space weather — Space Force/Air Force space operations, NASA or NOAA programs, or satellite-industry engineering
Working fluency in how space programs plan, task, and operate
U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
Open to being named as a consultant on federal proposals

Preferred qualifications

Ionosphere / space-weather modeling background
Space-domain awareness or commercial-imagery tasking experience
Prior security clearance

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $50–$80 per hour; you tell us the rate you are asking when you apply. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — roughly 40–80 hours across a 6–12 month period of performance per funded award, fully remote. No award, no hours, no obligation.
