Field Research Coordinator, Ecuador (Spanish-language interviews)

Schedule, run and document structured interviews and focus groups in Spanish with police, prosecutors, regulators and industry across Ecuador, and keep the field data clean for the assessment team.

How this role works

You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
You work remote, paid from the contract. ~300–500 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

Recruit and schedule interview and focus-group participants across several provinces
Run structured interviews and focus groups in Spanish and record them to protocol
Code and file the transcripts and notes so every finding traces to a source
Handle logistics, consent forms and travel for the field team

Required qualifications

Native or fluent Spanish and experience running qualitative field research in Ecuador or a neighboring country
Comfortable interviewing officials and industry staff on sensitive topics
Based in Ecuador or able to work there for the field period
Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

Preferred qualifications

Criminal-justice, security or governance research background
Experience on donor-funded assessments
Qualitative analysis software such as NVivo or Dedoose

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $40–$70 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — this seat is scoped at roughly 300–500 hours per funded award, on site, ecuador. Work and pay begin only if the contract is awarded — no award, no hours, no obligation.
