How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Design Entra ID identity architecture, including tenant structure, hybrid sync, Conditional Access, authentication methods and privileged roles
- Plan and lead Active Directory consolidation, from untangling forests and trusts to settling on a clean target directory
- Build Intune and Autopilot endpoint management, with enrollment, compliance, configuration profiles and app deployment that work on real hardware
- Run and modernize SCCM, including co-management, workload shifting and a sensible path off the on-premises stack
- Inventory Group Policy, decide what to keep, rewrite what still matters as Intune policy, and document the decisions
Required qualifications
- Hands-on architect-level experience with Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-premises Active Directory in an enterprise environment
- Direct experience designing or running Intune, Autopilot and SCCM (MECM), including co-management
- A completed Group Policy migration or AD consolidation where you owned the design
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Federal, DoD or state government Microsoft 365 work, including GCC or GCC High tenants
- Experience applying STIGs, CIS benchmarks or Zero Trust identity requirements to Windows endpoints
- Microsoft certifications such as Identity and Access Administrator, Endpoint Administrator or Cybersecurity Architect
- Comfort with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph and Entra Connect or Cloud Sync
