How this role works

You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
You work remote, paid from the contract. ~160–360 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

Pull general ledger, accounts payable, grants and project data out of PeopleSoft Financials, including the custom records and non-standard tables added over the years
Model that data into clean fact and dimension tables that feed Power BI dashboards
Model the SharePoint lists and libraries that track audit cycles and reporting tasks so they join cleanly with the ledger data
Check that every dashboard number ties back to PeopleSoft for audit tracking, the year-end GAAP package and the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards
Keep the models healthy after launch with a small amount of yearly upkeep

Required qualifications

Hands-on data modeling experience with PeopleSoft Financials, including its records, trees, queries and underlying tables
Hands-on data modeling experience with SharePoint lists or libraries as a reporting source
Strong SQL and experience extracting and modeling ERP data for reporting
U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

Preferred qualifications

PeopleCode, Application Engine or component interface development
Power BI or another BI tool built on finance data
State or local government finance, fund accounting, GAAP year-end or Single Audit and SEFA reporting
Python and a data warehouse or lakehouse

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $45–$105 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — this seat is scoped at roughly 160–360 hours per funded award, fully remote. Work and pay begin only if the contract is awarded — no award, no hours, no obligation.
