How this role works

You join the bench. You apply with your hourly rate, weekly hours and start time, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
You work remote, paid from the contract. ~40–80 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

Review logistics and transportation technical approaches for operational realism
Advise on DoD supply-chain systems, processes, and data as actually used
Sanity-check digital-twin and visibility assumptions against sustainment experience
Keep our terminology native to the DLA/TRANSCOM/sustainment community
Join occasional government calls and technical reviews for funded efforts

Required qualifications

15+ years in defense logistics, supply chain, or transportation — DLA, TRANSCOM, Army sustainment, or equivalent industry roles
Fluency in DoD supply-chain systems and processes
U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
Open to being named as a consultant on federal proposals

Preferred qualifications

DLA enterprise-systems familiarity
DOT / FHWA / FTA exposure
Post-service consulting experience

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $50–$80 per hour; you tell us the rate you are asking when you apply. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — roughly 40–80 hours across a 6–12 month period of performance per funded award, fully remote. No award, no hours, no obligation.
