About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~80–500 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Lead or review paratransit program assessments, from eligibility and trip booking through on-time performance, denials and cost per trip
- Check our service plans, network recommendations and operational analyses against FTA and USDOT rules before they reach the Government
- Tell us where an approach breaks on real ridership data, real operator contracts, or real rider and community needs
- Point us at the regulation, circular, guidance or peer agency practice we should be using
- Help shape comprehensive operational analyses, county and regional mobility plans, and capital program recommendations
Required qualifications
- Senior experience planning, assessing or managing public transit or paratransit service, in an agency or consulting role
- Working knowledge of ADA complementary paratransit requirements (49 CFR Parts 27, 37 and 38), FTA circulars, and Title VI service equity analysis
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- A completed paratransit program assessment, comprehensive operational analysis (COA), or adopted transit or county mobility plan
- FTA grant and capital program experience, such as Section 5307, 5310, 5311 or Capital Investment Grants, and National Transit Database reporting
- Demand-response and microtransit operations, scheduling software such as Trapeze or similar, or AICP certification
Compensation & structure
1099 consulting engagement. $35–$85 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience.
