How this role works

You join the bench. You apply with your hourly rate, weekly hours and start time, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
You work remote, paid from the contract. ~40–80 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you’ll do

Review our COA generation and comparison models against real staff planning practice.
Tell us where an automated COA or wargaming aid would produce options a commander would reject.
Check our claims about planning speed and option quality before an evaluator sees them.

Required qualifications

Direct experience in operational planning, wargaming, or COA development on a staff.
Working knowledge of the joint planning process or a service equivalent.
Willing to be named in a federal proposal with your consent, each time.

Preferred qualifications

A combatant command, a service war college, or an operations-analysis organization.
Experience with campaign modeling or analytic wargaming tools.

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $50–$80 per hour; you tell us the rate you are asking when you apply. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — roughly 40–80 hours across a 6–12 month period of performance per funded award, fully remote. No award, no hours, no obligation.
