ITSM Platform Implementation Lead

Lead the stand-up of an enterprise service management platform for a government customer, from process design and CMDB to the integrations that keep it honest.

How this role works

You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

Lead the implementation of an ESM/ITSM platform from discovery and process design through configuration, testing and go-live
Design the CMDB and the integrations that feed it, so configuration data stays accurate after launch
Map incident, problem, change, request and asset processes to the platform without bending them out of shape
Tell us where a plan, a timeline or a configuration choice will break once real users and real data arrive
Guide our engineers and the customer's staff on platform best practice, upgrades and keeping customization under control

Required qualifications

Hands-on experience leading at least one full ESM/ITSM platform implementation, such as ServiceNow, BMC Helix, Ivanti, Cherwell or Jira Service Management
Current certification on the ESM/ITSM platform you would lead, such as ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist or the equivalent from another vendor
Working knowledge of CMDB design, discovery and service mapping, and of integrating the platform with other enterprise systems
U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

Preferred qualifications

ITIL 4 Foundation or higher
Federal, state or local government platform implementations
Integration work using REST APIs, MID servers, IntegrationHub or comparable tools
Experience with IT asset management, HR service delivery or other ESM modules beyond core ITSM

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $45–$100 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — this seat is scoped at roughly 120–600 hours per funded award, fully remote. Work and pay begin only if the contract is awarded — no award, no hours, no obligation.
