How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~80–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair field instruments, transmitters, analyzers and RTU or PLC panels
- Respond on call to alarms, communication losses and failed equipment around the Cherry Hill area
- Trace a bad value from the HMI back through the network, the I/O and the loop to the sensor itself
- Document what you found and fixed so the next person, and our software, can trust the data
Required qualifications
- Hands-on field experience with SCADA, instrumentation or process controls in a technician or similar role
- Working knowledge of 4–20 mA loops, calibration, PLC or RTU I/O, and common industrial protocols such as Modbus or DNP3
- Live within a reasonable drive of Cherry Hill, NJ, with a valid driver's license, and able to take on-call shifts
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Water, wastewater, power or other utility experience
- Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Siemens or comparable PLC and HMI platforms
- ISA CCST, state water or wastewater operator license, or equivalent certification
