About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~100–500 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Review and build equipment, functional location and hierarchy structures in SAP PM against how the assets are really laid out and maintained
- Define and check classification, characteristics, object types and naming conventions so records stay consistent as they grow
- Find duplicates, orphans, gaps and mismatches in asset master data and lay out a practical plan to clean them up
- Prepare and validate load templates and mass changes (LSMW, S/4HANA Migration Cockpit or similar) with maintenance and engineering staff
- Write clear data standards and governance steps so the people who own the data can keep it accurate
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining SAP PM asset master data: equipment, functional locations, and the hierarchies and classes behind them
- Working knowledge of how master data connects to maintenance plans, task lists, bills of materials, notifications and work orders
- Experience with data migration or mass maintenance in SAP ECC or S/4HANA
- Comfortable working remotely and part-time with a small team, on a schedule you set with us
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Public sector, utility, transportation, facilities or defense maintenance experience
- S/4HANA Asset Management or SAP EAM implementation or conversion work
- Experience with linear assets, measuring points and counters, or reliability and criticality data
- Familiarity with ISO 14224, ISO 55000 or similar asset data and asset management standards
