1099 consultant · ~120–600 hrs per funded award · $30–$75/hr · Remote (U.S.)

Public Finance Business Analyst (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian)

Help us understand how public money really moves through budgets, treasuries and ministries in the Western Balkans. You'll work in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and English.

About Precision Federal

Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.

How this role works

  1. You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
  2. A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
  3. You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

  • Map how budget preparation, execution, treasury and reporting actually work in a ministry or local government, and write it up as clear business requirements
  • Read source documents in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, including budget laws, rulebooks, chart-of-accounts guidance and financial reports, and tell us what they really say
  • Check our process maps, data models and findings against real fiscal practice before they reach the Government
  • Interview finance officials and practitioners in their own language and turn what you hear into accurate, usable analysis

Required qualifications

  • Direct experience in public finance business analysis, such as budgeting, treasury, public financial management, fiscal reporting or public-sector accounting
  • Professional fluency in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, spoken and written, along with strong written English
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
  • Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with public financial management reform or fiscal systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro or elsewhere in the Western Balkans
  • Working knowledge of IPSAS, GFS, program budgeting, PEFA assessments or financial management information systems
  • Background as a finance ministry, treasury, audit institution or donor-funded program analyst

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $30–$75 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — this seat is scoped at roughly 120–600 hours per funded award, fully remote. Work and pay begin only if the contract is awarded — no award, no hours, no obligation.

Join the bench — Public Finance Business Analyst (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian)

Every application is read. It takes about 5 minutes.

  • This is a bench, not a job offer. Work starts when we win a contract that needs you.
  • We may name you on proposals. If that contract is awarded, you do the role at the rate and hours we agree on.
  • Paid hourly as a 1099 contractor; full-time roles may be W-2. If your background fits, we will email you.
