Property Catastrophe Reinsurance Placement Lead

Lead our property catastrophe reinsurance work and keep it grounded in how the Florida market actually structures, prices and renews catastrophe risk.

About Precision Federal

Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.

How this role works

  1. You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
  2. A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
  3. You work remote, paid from the contract. ~80–400 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

  • Lead the structure and placement approach for property catastrophe reinsurance programs, from layers and retentions to reinstatements and terms
  • Review our analysis of catastrophe model output, exposure data and program options against how reinsurers actually read a submission
  • Tell us where a structure, a pricing assumption or a market read breaks in the real Florida renewal cycle
  • Check claims about capacity, cost, credit quality and market conditions before they reach the Government
  • Point us at the market data, regulatory requirement or authoritative source we should be relying on

Required qualifications

  • Senior experience placing or brokering property catastrophe reinsurance, with a lead or account executive role on placements
  • Direct experience with the Florida property insurance and reinsurance market, including the June 1 renewal cycle
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
  • Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Florida domestic carriers, residual market entities or public catastrophe risk programs
  • Hands-on use of Moody's RMS, Verisk, KCC or comparable catastrophe models in placement work
  • Catastrophe bonds, collateralized reinsurance or other insurance-linked securities
  • Active insurance or reinsurance intermediary license, or CPCU, ARe or comparable credentials

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $45–$100 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — this seat is scoped at roughly 80–400 hours per funded award, fully remote. Work and pay begin only if the contract is awarded — no award, no hours, no obligation.

Join the bench — Property Catastrophe Reinsurance Placement Lead

Every application is read. It takes about 5 minutes.

  • This is a bench, not a job offer. Work starts when we win a contract that needs you.
  • We may name you on proposals. If that contract is awarded, you do the role at the rate and hours we agree on.
  • Paid hourly as a 1099 contractor; full-time roles may be W-2. If your background fits, we will email you.
