Medicaid HCBS Project Manager (On Site, Baton Rouge, LA)

Lead our Medicaid home and community-based services work in person in Baton Rouge, keeping schedules, systems and data tied to the people who rely on these services.

About Precision Federal

Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.

How this role works

  1. You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
  2. A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
  3. You work remote, paid from the contract. ~500–2,080 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

  • Run day-to-day delivery on site in Baton Rouge: schedule, risks, issues, staffing and status reporting to the client
  • Keep HCBS policy, waiver rules and MMIS changes connected to what our engineers and analysts are building
  • Coordinate with program staff, providers, the MMIS vendor and other contractors so handoffs and data flows hold up
  • Catch scope, data quality and compliance problems early and bring us a clear plan to fix them

Required qualifications

  • Project or program management experience on Medicaid HCBS, MMIS, or comparable state Medicaid systems work
  • Hands-on familiarity with Medicaid or HCBS data systems such as MMIS claims and encounters, prior authorization, case management, or EVV
  • Able to work on site in Baton Rouge, LA, fully dedicated to the project once the award is made
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
  • Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

Preferred qualifications

  • PMP, PgMP or comparable project management certification
  • Experience with 1915(c) or 1915(i) waivers, EVV rollout, or CMS MMIS module certification
  • Prior work for a state Medicaid agency, managed care plan, or MMIS fiscal agent

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $30–$75 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — this seat is scoped at roughly 500–2,080 hours per funded award, fully remote. Work and pay begin only if the contract is awarded — no award, no hours, no obligation.
