How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Lead the configuration and rollout of Canvas or Moodle for a K-12 setting, from course shells and roles to term and enrollment structure
- Set up and troubleshoot OneRoster rostering feeds so students, sections and teachers land where they belong
- Connect and manage LTI tools, and tell us where an integration will break before teachers find out
- Write the admin runbooks and train district staff so the system keeps running after go-live
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience implementing or administering Canvas or Moodle in a lead or senior admin role
- Working knowledge of OneRoster and LTI integrations, including rostering sync with a student information system
- K-12 implementation experience with a school, district or state education agency
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with SIS platforms such as PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward or Synergy
- Instructure or Moodle admin certification, or comparable vendor credentials
- Familiarity with FERPA, student data privacy agreements and accessibility expectations for K-12 content
