About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Architect Laserfiche repositories, metadata templates, folder structures and workflows that match how the agency actually files and finds its records
- Design Microsoft Purview retention labels, policies, sensitivity labels and records management settings across SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange and Teams
- Map retention schedules and file plans into both platforms and decide which system holds the record of truth for each series
- Plan how content moves between Laserfiche and Microsoft 365, including migration, deduplication and disposition with defensible audit trails
- Tell us where a design will break on real user behavior, real permissions or real volumes before it reaches the Government
Required qualifications
- Hands-on architecture or senior administration experience with Laserfiche (Repository, Forms, Workflow or Cloud) in a production environment
- Direct experience configuring Microsoft Purview information governance, records management or data lifecycle management in Microsoft 365
- Working knowledge of records retention schedules, file plans and disposition in a government or regulated setting
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Laserfiche certification such as Certified Professional or Systems Engineer
- Microsoft certifications such as SC-400 / Information Protection Administrator or MS-102
- Federal, state or local government records experience, including NARA guidance, GRS or state retention schedules
- eDiscovery, legal hold or FOIA support in Microsoft 365
- Migrations from file shares, legacy ECM or on-premises SharePoint into Laserfiche or Microsoft 365
