About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Serve as PD/PI on the award: set the scientific direction, own the aims, and answer for the work to the Government
- Bring and build on your own pilot data so the study starts from evidence, not hope
- Shape the implementation strategies, frameworks, outcomes and study design with our data and software team
- Tell us where a plan will break on real sites, real staff turnover, real patient barriers, or stigma
- Review findings, reports and publications before they leave the building, and keep the science honest
Required qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DrPH, ScD or equivalent) with a track record in HIV implementation science research
- Prior experience as PD/PI on a federally funded or comparable competitive research award
- Pilot data in HIV prevention, testing, linkage, treatment or retention that can anchor a new study
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Hybrid effectiveness-implementation designs and frameworks such as CFIR, RE-AIM, EPIS or Proctor's implementation outcomes
- PrEP uptake and persistence, HIV testing, rapid ART start, viral suppression or retention in care
- Partnerships with community-based organizations, Ryan White sites, health departments or federally qualified health centers
- Peer-reviewed HIV implementation science publications as first or senior author
