Health Educator (Behavioral & Military Health)

Teach health to people who need it, and keep our behavioral and military health programs true to how service members, families and patients actually learn and change.

About Precision Federal

Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.

How this role works

  1. You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
  2. A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
  3. You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

  • Plan and deliver health education sessions, workshops and briefings for service members, families, patients and staff
  • Adapt materials on stress, sleep, substance use, resilience, nutrition and chronic disease to the audience in front of you
  • Track attendance, outcomes and participant feedback so we can show what worked and fix what did not
  • Tell us where our program design, content or data collection misses how people actually take in health information

Required qualifications

  • Direct experience delivering health education programs to groups or individuals
  • Behavioral health or military health experience in a delivery, clinical or program role
  • Bachelor's degree in health education, public health, nursing, psychology or a related field
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
  • Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

Preferred qualifications

  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES)
  • Work on installation, clinic or community programs serving service members, veterans or military families
  • Experience with suicide prevention, substance misuse prevention, resilience or tobacco cessation curricula
  • Military service or life as a military spouse or family member

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $20–$40 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience. Hours are funded by federal contract awards — this seat is scoped at roughly 120–600 hours per funded award, fully remote. Work and pay begin only if the contract is awarded — no award, no hours, no obligation.

Join the bench — Health Educator (Behavioral & Military Health)

Every application is read. It takes about 5 minutes.

  • This is a bench, not a job offer. Work starts when we win a contract that needs you.
  • We may name you on proposals. If that contract is awarded, you do the role at the rate and hours we agree on.
  • Paid hourly as a 1099 contractor; full-time roles may be W-2. If your background fits, we will email you.
