About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~160–700 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Configure the GRC platform around the customer's real risk register, control library, policies and audit cycle, not a vendor demo
- Map frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF or ISO 27001 into controls, assessments and evidence requests people can actually complete
- Build and deliver training for control owners, assessors and leadership, in person and with job aids they can keep using after you leave
- Work on site in Texas part-time with the customer's team, and tell us early where adoption, data or workflow is going to break
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience implementing or administering a GRC or IRM platform such as ServiceNow GRC/IRM, RSA Archer, MetricStream, OneTrust or comparable
- Experience designing and delivering end-user training for an enterprise system
- Working knowledge of at least one control framework such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2 or CIS Controls
- Able to work part-time on site in Texas
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- GRC work for a federal, state or local government organization
- Platform certifications such as ServiceNow CIS-RC/CIS-IRM or Archer administrator credentials
- CRISC, CISA, CISSP or CGRC (formerly CAP)
- Experience with policy management, vendor risk or audit management modules
