GPS Monitoring Device Installer (Collin County, TX)

Fit, activate and remove GPS monitoring devices in person in Collin County, Texas, so every enrollment is done right and on time.

About Precision Federal

Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.

How this role works

  1. You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
  2. A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
  3. You work remote, paid from the contract. ~1,040–2,080 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

What you'll do

  • Install, fit and activate GPS monitoring devices on enrolled participants, and confirm each unit is reporting before they leave
  • Remove, swap and troubleshoot devices, and record serial numbers, chain of custody and condition every time
  • Explain charging, care and the rules of wear to participants clearly and respectfully
  • Keep the stated service window covered, and work with our backup installer so no shift goes unstaffed

Required qualifications

  • Hands-on experience installing, activating or removing GPS or electronic monitoring devices
  • Able to work full-time, in person, in Collin County, Texas, across the stated service window
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
  • Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with pretrial, probation, parole or other court-supervised monitoring programs
  • Familiarity with monitoring vendor platforms such as BI, SCRAM, SuperCom, Track Group or Attenti
  • Background in corrections, public safety, or field service work with sensitive populations

Compensation & structure

1099 consulting engagement. $20–$40 per hour; we set your rate from your résumé and experience. Work and pay begin only if the contract is awarded — no award, no hours, no obligation.
