About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~200–800 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Run the day-to-day help center for a building-performance or energy-benchmarking program serving thousands of covered entities
- Set the staffing, scripts, knowledge base and escalation paths so owners and managers get correct answers the first time
- Track ticket volume, response times, compliance rates and common failure points, and tell us what the numbers mean
- Turn what callers struggle with into clearer guidance, better outreach and fixes to the reporting tools
- Work with our data and software team on the CRM, portal and Portfolio Manager data flows the help center depends on
Required qualifications
- 3 or more years leading a program help center, contact center or customer support operation
- Experience with a help center serving 3,000 or more entities, such as buildings, accounts, owners or utility customers
- Direct experience supporting a building-performance, energy-benchmarking or utility program
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on work with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, data verification or benchmarking compliance cycles
- Experience with building performance standards, local benchmarking ordinances or utility whole-building data access
- Help desk or CRM platforms such as Zendesk, Salesforce, Freshdesk or ServiceNow
- Training, outreach or workshop delivery for building owners, property managers or utility account representatives
Compensation & structure
