About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~120–600 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Own the functional setup of the construction PMIS: business processes, workflows, forms, cost codes, roles and permissions
- Map how submittals, RFIs, change orders, pay applications, daily reports and closeout actually move, and configure the platform to match
- Build and deliver role-based training for project managers, field staff, contractors and executives, in person and online
- Write the user guides, quick-reference cards and recorded walkthroughs people will actually open
- Run the help desk front line for functional questions, track adoption, and fix the setup where users get stuck
Required qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on functional management of a construction PMIS such as Procore, Oracle Primavera Unifier, e-Builder, Kahua, PMWeb, Autodesk Construction Cloud or CMiC
- At least 1 year training users on that same platform
- Working understanding of construction project delivery: submittals, RFIs, change management, cost control, scheduling and closeout
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- PMIS work for a federal, state, municipal, transit, airport, university or utility capital program
- Platform certification from the vendor, such as Procore Certified or Oracle Primavera Unifier certification
- PMP, CCM or a construction management or engineering degree
- Experience migrating a capital program from a legacy system or spreadsheets onto a PMIS
- Integration experience linking the PMIS to scheduling (Primavera P6, MS Project), ERP or financial systems
