How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~100–300 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.

- Play organ and piano for weekend Mass, Saturday evening at one chapel and Sunday morning at the other, on site in Virginia Beach
- Plan the music for each Mass and the liturgical year with the Catholic chaplain, in keeping with the Church's liturgical norms
- Run weekly choir rehearsals and keep building a volunteer choir as members arrive and transfer out
- Teach cantors, singers and new musicians with a simple curriculum the community can keep using after they move on
- Share the chapel well with other faith groups' schedules, spaces and instruments, and line up approved backup musicians for the weeks you are away

- Able to get base access and be on site in Virginia Beach, VA, most weekends and for weekly rehearsals
