About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~200–1,000 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Coordinate care for clients through intake assessments, service plans, referrals and follow-up with providers, benefits offices and community programs
- Support patients in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting with observation, safety checks, vital signs and therapeutic activities under clinical direction
- Keep accurate, timely case notes and records that meet program and privacy requirements
- Tell us where our workflows, tools or data get case management and patient care wrong, and how the work actually gets done
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience as a case manager (Case Manager I level or above) or as a psychiatric or mental health technician (Psych Tech I level or above)
- Experience documenting care accurately and protecting client privacy under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in both case management and psychiatric technician roles
- Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), CNA, or a degree in social work, psychology or a related field
- Crisis intervention or de-escalation training such as CPI or MANDT
- Work with veterans, justice-involved people, or people experiencing homelessness or substance use disorders
