About Precision Federal
Precision Federal is a small business building AI, data and software systems for government agencies. The company’s founder loves God, and the company is built on Christian faith: every number we publish is real, every claim we make is verifiable, and the work is done with excellence as service to God. Faith is welcome here and openly shared.
How this role works
- You join the bench. You apply with your weekly hours and start time. We set your hourly rate from your résumé, and we may name you on proposals that match this role. If we don't win, you owe nothing.
- A contract is awarded. The award funds the team named in the proposal. Your engagement begins at the hourly rate we agreed on.
- You work remote, paid from the contract. ~80–400 hrs per funded award — and if no award ever funds, you owe nothing and lose nothing.
What you'll do
- Plan and run cybersecurity assessments of airport IT and operational technology, including access control, baggage handling, common-use passenger systems and flight information displays
- Map an airport's controls to TSA Security Directive and security program cybersecurity requirements and show clearly where the gaps are
- Scope and assess cardholder data environments across parking, concessions and other airport payment points against PCI DSS
- Write findings and remediation plans that airport operators and their tenants can act on, and check our reports for accuracy before they go to the Government
Required qualifications
- Direct experience assessing cybersecurity at an airport, airline, or other regulated transportation operator
- Hands-on work with TSA Security Directive or airport security program cybersecurity requirements, including network segmentation, incident response and assessment plans
- Experience performing or supporting PCI DSS assessments, including scoping, evidence review and reporting
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (U.S. person)
- Willing to be named on a federal proposal with a one-page resume, and to sign a short letter of commitment
Preferred qualifications
- PCI QSA or ISA credential, current or recent
- CISSP, CISA, GICSP or comparable security certification
- Familiarity with airport OT and common-use systems such as CUPPS, CUSS, baggage handling controls or physical access control systems
- Experience with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82 or the CISA Cross-Sector Cybersecurity Performance Goals
