Research and analysis a decision can rest on.

Market and demand forecasting, health economics, field data collection and study design for federal programs. Under contract with CDC for market forecast analyses and with the Federal Highway Administration for 3D LiDAR and smartphone-based traffic data.

Research that ends in a decision

A study is worth funding when it changes what someone does next. We frame every research engagement around the decision it informs, then build the forecast, the economic case or the field measurement that decision needs, with the uncertainty stated plainly and every number traceable to delivered code and data.

Precision Federal is under contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for market forecast analyses for a West Nile virus vaccine and an anti-West Nile virus monoclonal antibody (purchase order 75D30126P21398, September 2026 to September 2027), and with the Federal Highway Administration for 3D LiDAR and smartphone-based platforms for motor vehicle traffic data (purchase order 693JJ326P000024, September 2026 to September 2028).

Market and demand forecasting

Forecasting a product or program that does not exist yet starts with who could use it and under what conditions. We define target populations from epidemiology, set recommendation and access scenarios, draw uptake curves from comparable launches, and carry price and channel assumptions through to a range a sponsor can act on.

  • Target populations: age-based and risk-based groups sized from public surveillance and survey data.
  • Scenarios: recommendation strength, access points, coverage and outbreak volatility, each varied on purpose.
  • Uptake curves: analog launches and diffusion models calibrated to what comparable products actually did.
  • Decision thresholds: the point at which the answer changes, stated up front so the range is useful.

Health economics

Program offices need to know what a condition costs, what an intervention buys, and what it does to a budget. We build cost-of-illness, cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses with the perspective, time horizon and discounting stated at the start, and sensitivity analysis that shows which assumptions move the result.

Field data collection

Some questions can only be answered on the ground. We plan and run field studies with mobile LiDAR, smartphone sensors and fixed instruments: calibration, clock synchronization, ground truth, same-day quality checks and chain of custody. When a study involves people, human-subjects review is planned into the schedule from the first week, and the final report is accessible to Section 508.

Study design

Research questions written as decisions, a data plan that names every source and its limits, approvals planned early (institutional review when people are involved, Paperwork Reduction Act clearance when surveying the public), and a reproducible analysis delivered with the report.

How a study runs

A typical one-year study

1
Kickoff and decision framing
Weeks 1 to 2
2
Data plan, access and approvals
Month 1
3
Analysis and interim results
Months 2 to 8
4
Draft report and government review
Months 9 to 10
5
Final report, code and data list
Months 11 to 12

Who does the work

A principal investigator who owns the method, a postdoctoral researcher or senior analyst, a health economist or domain specialist where the question needs one, and a research analyst. Every one of them is named and has agreed to the work before we submit a quote.

Why Precision Federal

  • Prime on every contract: one accountable lead from proposal to delivery.
  • Named people before we bid: every seat is filled by an expert who has agreed to the work.
  • Senior leadership on the work: the founder leads delivery.
  • Proven on real data: working results, not promises, with every number traceable to delivered code.

Questions buyers ask.
What research do you do for CDC?

Market forecast analyses for a West Nile virus vaccine and an anti-West Nile virus monoclonal antibody, under purchase order 75D30126P21398, September 2026 to September 2027.

What does your FHWA work cover?

3D LiDAR and smartphone-based platforms for motor vehicle traffic data, under purchase order 693JJ326P000024, September 2026 to September 2028.

Do you plan for human-subjects review?

Yes. When a study involves people, institutional review is planned into the schedule from the first week, and Paperwork Reduction Act clearance is planned when the public is surveyed.

Do we receive the code and the data?

Yes. Every number in the report traces to delivered code and a data list, so the government can rerun the analysis.

How do you contract for research?

Direct awards, simplified acquisitions and small-business set-asides, always as the prime. UEI Y2JVCZXT9HP5, CAGE 1AYQ0.
